Our Mobile Laboratories

Each laboratory is designed, equipped and organized to perform exceptional analysis as well as staffed with only the brightest most experienced chemists. The layout of each laboratory is intended to promote efficient operation of instrumentation and cooperation between chemists and technicians when applicable. The NAL fleet consists of the following laboratories:
Laboratory #1
Designed specifically for the analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) through use of a GC/MS unit. Climate controlled for consistency in analyses, this lab contains two separate air conditioning units in addition to a heater. The GC/MS is complemented by a customized computer system, fume hood, a fresh water supply tank and refrigeration for samples and standards. The laboratory measures 16' x 8' and with sixty square feet of counter space can be equipped with a field portable XRF unit in addition to its GC/MS and is capable of supporting two chemists simultaneously.
Laboratory #2
The sister lab of laboratory #1 it is also designed specifically for the analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) through use of a GC/MS unit. Climate controlled for consistency in analyses, this lab contains two separate air conditioning units in addition to two heaters. The GC/MS is complemented by a customized computer system, fume hood, a fresh water supply tank and refrigeration for samples and standards. The laboratory measures 16' x 8' and is capable of meeting all of its own electrical requirements through the use of its two 6.5 kW diesel powered generators to be completely self sufficient.
Laboratory #3
Designed specifically for the analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) through the use of a GC/MS unit. This slightly smaller lab is ideal for cross-country travel. The laboratory measures 14' x 6' and is climate controlled for constistancy in analyses. The GC/MS is complemented by a customized computer system, large and separate gas cylinder storage area (capable of carrying gas for year long projects) and refrigeration for samples and standards.
Laboratory #4
A specially designed 20' GMC ENG laboratory can be equipped with GC, GC/MS, and XRF technologies. The lab is also setup for extractions with a sink, sample preparation area and fume hood. Climate-controlled for consistency in analyses, this lab contains two separate air conditioning units in addition to two heaters. Laboratory #4 also contains two refrigerator/freezer units for sample and standard storage, customized computer system, solvent lockup, air ventilation system and is capable of meeting all of its own electrical requirements through the use of its two 6.0 kW gas powered generators to be completely self sufficient. Ample counter space also makes laboratory #4 great for wet chemistry.
Laboratory #5
Measures 26' x 8' and has separate analysis and extraction rooms as well as 85 square feet of counter space. The analysis area houses one GC unit, for analysis of PCBs, or pesticides, and one GC/MS unit, for SVOC analysis, and is climate controlled through the use of two air conditioners and two heaters. The extraction area has a separate entrance to avoid cross contamination and is outfitted with a three-foot fume hood. The laboratory also houses a refrigeration unit and a ventilation system.
Laboratory #6
The sister lab of laboratory #5, it is New Age Landmark's inorganics laboratory. Also 26' x 8' and containing separate analysis and extraction rooms, this lab is home to ICP/MS, and Mercury Analyzer. The lab is climate controlled to maintain instrument stability through the use of two air conditioners and two heaters. A fully equipped digestion area houses a three-foot fume hood, TCLP rotator and refrigeration unit. The digestion area, with its ample workspace, also doubles as a stage for performing wet chemistry.
Laboratory #7
One of New Age/Landmark's smallest labs (10' x 6') it is also one of the most dynamic as all counters are removable. This lab can easily be outfitted to hold GC, XRF and/or Mercury Analyzer technologies and can be used to perform wet chemistry or TCLP.
Laboratory #8
Another lab distinguished by its versatility, this 15' Chevy box truck is capable of supporting GC, GC/MS, XRF and/or Mercury Analyzer technologies. It is equipped with a five-foot fume hood and large refrigeration unit. The laboratory is large enough to house two chemists working back to back or one chemist and an extraction technician. Ample counter space also makes laboratory #8 great for wet chemistry.
